ACTS Prayer Plan
Adoration
Build a Holy Space (Psalm 22:3).
Adoration reminds us of who God is. Focus on God’s attributes and names in scripture, not just the things that He has done. The Psalms are great guides. God is worthy of adoration because of who He is, even if He never did anything for us.
Confession
Be Open With God About Your Mistakes (Psalms 103:12, 1 John 1:9).
Be specific. Remember, confession is not just telling God your sins. It’s giving them to Him and trusting in His forgiveness. “Repent and believe the good news” (Mark 1:15; ESV). Ask Him to search and cleanse your heart (Psalm 139:23).
Thanksgiving
Express Your Gratitude (Psalms 103:2, 1 Thessalonians 5:18).
Thank God for what He has done: answered prayers and blessings (spiritual, relational, material).
In Luke 17:11-19, Jesus healed ten lepers, but only one came back to thank Him. Be the one who comes back.
Supplication
Ask for Help (Philippians 4:6-7, James 4:2).
God loves to answer prayers and meet our needs. Let’s be intentional about what we pray for. Create a prayer list. Here are some examples of people and areas of your life to pray for regularly.
People: friends, coworkers, bosses, government, institutions, the lost, the sick.
Family: parents, siblings, household problems or decisions, (future) marriage, (future) children.
Personal: character growth, fruit and baptism of the Holy Spirit, personal needs, direction, purpose, goals, strength, boldness, freedom.
Ministry: the things God wants you to do or people to invest in – your church, LG, and service team.
Job: projects, planning, diligence.
